We have a very narrow entrance and I have been trying to find something for our guest to sit on while putting thier shoes on. Being narrow isn't the only challenge, we also have two doors in this entrance, one is a coat closet the other is the door to the garage, so the only available space is a little bit of a wall in between these two doors as you can see in the picture above. So when dh asked if i wanted this old stool that was just going to be tossed in the garbage, I couldn't have been more thrilled. ITS A PERFECT FIT!!! wahooo!! Stay tuned, in a couple more days the makeover should be complete.
A happy belated Canada's Day to my Canadian blogger friends and a happy belated 4th of July to my American blogger friends. I celebrated on the first of July and had a great day that ended with watching the beautiful fireworks.

Janet,
I have a table sitting in my garage waiting for a make over also! This bench looks perfect for your space! I can’t wait to see how you transform it.

That looks like a sewing machine stool. It's a nice piece for sure. The top is easy to recover too. I am anxious to see what you decide to do :)

Great find, looking forward to seeing what you do with it :-) I think it would be a great piece to use a really fab fabric -- something unexpected and funky :-)

On behalf of America I accept your belated 4th of July wishes :).
Hi ! I love what you did with this stool. Very chic and modern.
I've just finished a stool makeover myself (3 actually, I don't seem to be able to stop myself right now ...). You can check it out if you'd like, and maybe give me your opinion :
1. Easiest makeover ever : http://nocesdecoton.canalblog.com/archives/2009/09/10/15021772.html
2. Pretty easy one too : http://nocesdecoton.canalblog.com/archives/2009/09/15/15083640.html
