BENCH IS DONE!!

The previous post below shows the before of this little freebie stool, which I believe actually belongs to a sewing table. We didn't do anything fancy as you can see. A quick slap of paint (left over from tv cabinet) and some new fabric. (total cost around 3 dollars) Our entrance is long but very narrow, we had no where to put a seating spot so our visitors could sit to put on thier shoes. Its not an obstacle in the entrance as this section of the entry opens to the living room. In between the closet and the garage door was about 20 inches and the stool fits perfect.
IM ON THE HUNT FOR A NICE GREEN APPLE COLORED BASKET TO SLIDE UNDER THE STOOL FOR HATS AND MITTS IN THE WINTER

SHOWING YOU THE FRONT DOOR STRAIGHT AHEAD AND OFF TO THE SIDE IS THE DOOR LEADING TO THE GARAGE. THERE REALLY WASN'T ANY OTHER POSSIBILITIES. YOU WILL SEE A TINY BIT OF A WALL STICKING OUT, ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT WALL IS WHERE THE TV STAND IS, GIVES YOU AN IDEA ON HOW CLOSE THE LIVING ROOM IS TO THE ENTRY.
Thanks for stopping by, and if I don't get by to visit you often its because summer can be crazy busy around here, but Im doing my best to keep up on what all you fantastic bloggers are up to, so don't think for one minute I have forgot any of you. P.S. THE MAT AT THE ENTRY WILL ALSO BE CHANGED.

What a perfect little stool for that section of the wall.I love the idea of an apple green basket underneath. One suggestion if you put the mat horizontally it will widen the entry, right now it is vertical and it shows the narrowness and length of the hall. You are on the right track. Thank you for your kind words over at Martys blog it was fun doing a guest posting. hugs Kathysue

I think the mat matches the stool with the stripes...:0) ... Great job with the stool! It's hard to work with small spaces, they can be a real challenge....good job! Smiles! :0)
