Night Stands..not always a night stand

This is my favorite cabinet, it was a 10 dollar yard sale find that we painted. On the right hand side of my blog, you will see we did use it as a tv stand, which was perfect until DH wanted a larger tv. No way was it leaving this house, so now it sits on my side of the bed. I love the storage it gives me, not to mention all the space on top. I still need to make changes to the decor on top.....(another thing on my to do list.) I have also considered moving the mirror above the cabinet.

I like to use peices in places that they were not always intended for.

I love that night stand AND

I have a dresser in the corner of my computer room.

I have a washstand complete with bowl and pitcher in my living room.

I have an antique sewing table as a night stand.

I have a church pew in my kitchen.

I have a school desk in my living room.

I have a dressing table with mirror standing in as a buffet in my dining room.

Yep - - - I like to use things in nontraditional places too!!!

I love your nightstand. Perfect addition. I like unique pieces used instead of the traditional pieces, makes a room look more loved and cared about.

yes I know exactly what you mean. My favorite furniture is stuff I found on the fly. I always seems to have more character. Yesterday I bought a bird print at a local gift shop for $7.50 that turned out to be worth $250! Made my day to say the least..

I don't think I have ever used a real "night stand", I had never thought about that before...
